Kettlebell-  A cardio, core, complete body workout that utilizes various movements while maintaining flexibility, stability, and endurance. 

Kickboxing- A cardiovascular workout that blends elements of boxing, martial arts and traditional aerobics. Classes generally feature a variety of punches, kicks, knee strikes and other self-defense moves interspersed with traditional exercises, such as jumping jacks, abdominal crunches, and push-ups to create a total body workout.

Pilates- Coordinates mind, body and breath to develop sleek and functionally strong abdominal muscles, a strong and supple back, and aligns the shoulder girdle.

Pump It Up- Hi energy full body weight training workout. This class will keep you pumped up through various exercises with and without equipment, designed to burn fat and tone your whole body.

Silver&Fit- Combination of aerobic, flexibility, balance and resistance training to specifically address older adults in a fun filled social environment regardless of fitness level.
Level 2=45 min. For older adults with no prior exercise experience or beginning again.
Level 3= 60 min. For moderately active older adults.

Stability Ball- Achieve optimal exercise performance in an unstable environment.  Stability balls were designed to help achieve better abs, buns and a stronger back. Enjoy both a cardio and toning workout.

Step Aerobics- Use a step with adjustable risers to suit individual needs for an aerobic workout.  Basic to challenging choreography to keep the workout fresh and fun!

Toning Class- Combination of weights and resistance exercises to strengthen and tone all of the body, one part at a time.

Tai Chi - Tai Chi is a graceful, low impact exercise that can benefit people of all ages.  Watch your health, stress level and energy improve.

Trixter X-Biking- If you like spinning you’ll love x-biking. The unique handle bar articulates from side-to-side against adjustable resistance which allows the rider to work upper body and core muscles while the legs do the pumping.

Yoga- Hatha yoga class aimed at uniting the mind-body-spirit through the practice of physical postures (asanas).

Y-NOTs Walking Club- Come walk around town and make some friends at the same time. All fitness levels welcome. Meet Tuesdays at 7pm and Saturdays at 7am on the Front Porch of the YMCA.

Zumba!- A fusion of Latin and International music - dance themes creating a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! The routines use aerobic interval training and fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body with easy to follow dance steps.

Free Weight Exercise Room

Members 14 years old (that have been certified) and older also have unrestricted use of the free weight room. The YMCA has a nice selection of dumbbells ranging in weights from 5 lbs. to 100 lbs. There is also a squat cage, smith machine, multiple benches (including both incline and decline), a cable cross over, Pec Deck with reverse fly, Preacher curl, Glute Ham stand, Abdominal stand, chin dip, a leg press machine, Hammer Strength, and many others.

 

You can set up an appointment with a YMCA trainer to design an exercise program to meet your fitness goals.

                   Personal Training
Personal exercise sessions to help educate,
motivate and train new and current members. 
Sign up for sessions with Fitness Staff at ext. 110.

 

                  Cybex Exercise Room
Members age 14 years old (that have been certified)  and and older enjoy full use of Cybex resistance training equipment. 14 pieces of
equipment target various muscle groups to provide an all over body workout.

 

New members can sign up for an orientation with a
YMCA fitness specialist to learn proper use of the equipment. Make an appointment with the Fitness

Staff at ext. 110.
